World Food Reserve

Delivering food, care and dignity to vulnerable communities every day.

About the Project

World Food Reserve was formally established during the COVID-19 pandemic to meet the urgent needs of vulnerable individuals and families. While the distribution of food and essentials has always been a core part of Sachkhand Nanak Dham’s selfless service (sewa) since the mission began, the pandemic marked the start of a more structured and expanded approach.

What began as an emergency response evolved into an ongoing, organised effort, providing food, warmth and dignity to communities who struggle to meet their basic needs.

Run entirely by volunteers from the Sachkhand Nanak Dham community, this sewa provides round-the-clock support across cities and districts in the UK and India. Weekly food drives distribute hot meals, snacks and non-perishable takeaway bags, while volunteers also provide clothing and sleeping bags to those facing hardship.

World Food Reserve was formally approached by local authorities to support schools, key workers and low-income families. Today, the project continues to expand its reach, serving the elderly, schoolchildren and communities in need, day or night.
